Staff were super friendly and sorted our excursions. But the breakfast was a bit limited and could do with more variety. A sweet stay!

The property was fairly clean and staff was incredibly kind and exceptionally nice. The location was magnificent and good: boutiques and supermarkets were within walking distance. On top of that, bars and restaurants were metres from the property. The food from the beach restaurant was fab. I enjoyed the trip and would definitely return here.

If you are looking for a small scale hotel with all comforts in the black river area we can highly recommend the Bay. It is excellent value/money. Beach front location with nice places to sit and relax and enjoy the sunset. Nice pool and enough poolchairs. HP food is very good, restaurant has beach front location and different menu each evening and on friday bbq on the beach, excellent wine list. Breakfast with eggs (any style) fresh fruits and juices and bread and Cereals. Beach is ok, not great for swimming as there are many stones and low water big part of the day (but the public beach 5 min walk away is). Seaview rooms are recommended and have private balconies, others have no view/balcony. Good comfortable beds, very basic bathroom, size is ok. Staff very friendly, trying hard to make your stay enjoyable, and it was!

The view from the pool and restaurant was stunning, offering a perfect backdrop while dining. The location is top-notch, with easy access to nearby attractions like the Martello Tower Museum and La Preneuse Public Beach, which added a touch of adventure to our stay. I particularly enjoyed the delicious breakfast options that included homemade marmalade and granola. the morning service was a bit slow, which could use some improvement.

Compared to other hotels I staid in Mauritius, the Bay Hotel was the best value for money! Staff is really very kind and gives you a warm welcome. Half board indludes an "amuse bouche" starter and a following 3 course menu of best quality. Friday dinner is served on the beach with live music to give you an additional experience, Saturday dinner also enriched with live music.

The location is stunning, the service is great and the food was some of the best I have ever had in Mauritius.
The room I stayed in was pretty cramped, and my colleagues apparently worse. Was asked to change room on the last day as they had apparently booked that for someone else, I checked out instead.

The surrounding area lacks cleanliness and safety!!! No nearby dining options, and the noise from beach activities detracted from relaxation unlike expected!!!

The staff is really excellent at the bay hotel, make you feel right at home. Everyday fresh flowers in your room. The restaurant is really good as well with excellent views.
The taxi fares are a bit overpriced, as is the spa. But the massage was really good!

The atmosphere was so inviting, and the staff took excellent care of our family with their attentive service. The food at the onboard restaurant was fresh!
In my wife's opinion, breakfast options could be more varied for families.

Modern and well-designed small scale hotel. The photos are absolutely realistic. The location in front of the beach and the outdoor seating had made any meal special. The breakfast buffet is rich and the restaurant very good. The management, the staff at the reception, bartenders and waiters are very friendly and kind, making your stay even more enjoyable.

Fine sunsets and awesome staff!
The cocktails by the beach were super tasty, and I loved lounging there during sunset. Orelie, the owner, even stopped by for a chat. One small thing, the Wi-Fi was a bit spotty sometimes, but it didn't really ruin the vibe. The restaurant has great menu options too!
